About Us

RoK Handmade was created in 2018 with one mission: to create products we loved that the entire family (including pets) could enjoy. We started with handsewn journals and body butter (as our family and friends suffered from eczema).  Soon, we began creating long lasting, clean burning, and soothing candles. We started with beeswax and that remains the majority ingredient of our candles.  Growing up in Winston-Salem formed our knowledge and appreciation for beeswax, so that is what we’ve stuck to. We've now added gemstone and natural wood jewelry and will continue to add natural, handcrafted products. Since 2018, we have sold to customers in over 30 U.S. states, along with France and Canada 

We also offer candle making and soap making classes. If you're in the area, you can also catch us at local craft fairs and farmer’s markets.

Our journals are made from seed paper and rag cotton paper (from other small businesses). All of our products contain natural ingredients and more importantly, we support other small businesses. Approximately 90% of our materials come from other small businesses and our goal is to get it higher.
